About the programme
​​The Calmer Stronger programme will enable you to:-
​
​​

change the thinking that generates anger and conflict within yourself and with others.
​

get in touch with all your emotions and learn the key to emotional self-regulation.
​

understand the various sources of anger (such as stress and difficult childhood experiences) ​and master powerful, effective techniques to transform them.
​
-
understand what happens in your brain and body when you get stressed and angry and master effective calming strategies.
​
-
express your feelings and needs calmly and clearly to others.
​
-
increase your self-esteem and build much better relationships - starting with yourself.
​
-
gain the knowledge, skills and tools to manage your stress and anger after the programme ends and into the future.
​
The sessions are an interactive mixture of information sharing, discussion and exercises. Each week participants master a new transformative tool or strategy, and are encouraged to go away and put what they've learnt into practice in their lives.
​
Handouts and resources are provided after each session. Support is provided between sessions if necessary to make sure you get to grips with all the elements of the programme.

Week 1: Programme guidelines and transforming the thinking that generates anger

Week 2: Overcoming stress as a source of anger
​
Week 3: Learning to identify and regulate emotions
​
Week 4: Overcoming unmet emotional needs as a source of anger
​
Week 5: Overcoming shadow projections and loss of personal goals as sources of anger
​
Week 6: Overcoming shame as a source of anger and developing self-compassion
​
Week 7: Learning to set boundaries and mastering calm, clear communication
​
Week 8: Overcoming anger that has its roots in past experiences
​
Week 9: Understanding the angry brain and learning to stop anger escalating
​
Week 10: How to stay on track after the programme and beyond

How much does it cost?
Group Programme:
10 weekly x 3 hour online sessions - £600*
*A small number of discounted places af £350 are available for people on low income. Please contact me if you would like to apply.

The Group programme has the additional benefit of taking the journey with other people struggling with similar issues. This tends to encourage a sense of camaraderie in the group and enables people to learn from each other.
​​
​The group is kept quite small and the facilitator ensures that there is always a supportive and respectful atmosphere in the group.
​
Confidentiality is taken very seriously - no recordings of the sessions are permitted and a confidentiality agreement is put in place at the start of the course.
​​
One-to-One Programme:
10 weekly x 2 hour online sessions - £1,500*
*paid in instalments to suit you, e.g. weekly (£150 per session)

This route may be best for you if you would like to do this process in private or may have difficulty in a group setting. The programme is the same as the group programme but can be tailored more specifically for you and your needs.
